🎨 Local Artist Spotlight

Boreas Guitars was founded in 2023 by Joseph Brill in Colorado Springs, CO. Back in 2004, his passion for building musical instruments was sparked after seeing his older brother build violins and guitars from scratch. Since then, Joseph has been addicted to building, repairing, and modifying guitars. Since 2016, Joseph has been honing his eye for fine detail as well as his skills in fine woodworking within a production environment, and has received expert guidance on finishing with lacquer and UV-cured coatings. While he has experience and knowledge with CNC machines and other automated fabrication processes, he respectfully declines their help in his own workshop, as he finds more joy in doing meticulous work by hand with simple tools and machines. All guitars he builds are his own designs, and are made from scratch from the highest quality tonewoods.

🙏Thank you!
