🏔️ Trail of the Week

🌲 Mt. Esther Trail
📍 Location: Mt. Esther Trailhead, near Cripple Creek / Victor area, Teller County, CO
🛤 Length: ~6.2 miles (out-and-back)
Elevation Gain: ~1,300 ft
Difficulty: Moderate
Estimated Time: ~3 – 4 hrs
🔄 Trail Type: Out & Back
🏞 Best For: Hiking, trail running, wildlife viewing, mountain views, quiet forest scenery

Mt. Esther Trail is a scenic, lightly trafficked hike through forested slopes and open ridgelines in the southern Pikes Peak region. The trail climbs steadily but never feels overly steep, making it a solid moderate option for hikers looking to gain elevation without technical terrain. Along the way, you’ll pass through pine and aspen groves with occasional clearings that offer views toward surrounding mountains and high plains. It’s a peaceful, less-crowded alternative to more popular Front Range hikes—ideal for a calm half-day adventure.

🙏Thank you!

Thanks for tuning in everyone, hope you have a great time checking out some of these events. I’ll see you back here next week with more of Colorado Springs’ best happenings. Contact me at [email protected] if you have an event that you think would be perfect for this publication.
